Gameplay and Features
The objective of The Summoner's Rift is extremely straightforward – destroy the enemy’s team nexus. In order to do this, champions must go through one of three different lanes to attack the enemy at their weakest points they can find. Both teams have their lanes defended by three turrets; each turret grows in strength the closer it gets to its nexus and each turret must be destroyed in order to gain access to the next turret in that lane. Cooperating with fellow summoners is absolutely required for success, as it's easy for a champion to find himself ambushed by enemies in the lanes of the Rift. The Summoner's Rift also features equal jungle on both sides of the map and is populated by neutral monstrers, the two stronger ones give a special buff to the killer and along with the small ones additional gold. The Rift is split in two halves by a river which is neutral territory and it allows fast traveling through the lanes. The two bases at the corner of the map are populated by the shop, the nexus, two towers protecting the nexus and the inhibitors.
Baron Nashor and Dragon
The jungle also features two boss-like neutral Dragon or Drake and the toughest one Baron Nashor.Dragon(Drake)
Dragon is at the bottom right side of the river and gives globally extra gold to the whole team that killed it.
Baron Nashor
Baron Nashor is at the top left side of the the river and gives globally to the whole team that killed it extra gold and a buff.

Easter Eggs
In the Automn version, you can find Urf's ghost(a champion created as a prank by Riot Games)in the river near the top lane opposite to Baron NashorThe Rift is very similar to a popular map from Defense of the Ancients
The neutral monster camps in the Rift were normalized in patch V1.0.0.96: before that, wolf camps and golem camps randomly changed place.
