The Mac Open Beta is Here

The League of Legends Mac client is now in open beta and available for download. And yes, we're sure this time!

You can grab the Mac Open Beta client over at the download page.

Going native on Mac has been a big goal for us, and we're really excited to offer the same experience across both platforms. And just in case you're still skeptical, we managed to wrangle an endorsement from this business-savvy professional. We're confident you all know that this man games as he pleases!

The Mac client does everything that the PC client does, meaning you'll get all future features, bug fixes and new content on the same schedule as PC players, but on your native OS. The Cross-Platform team will also continue working diligently to smash any Mac bugs that surface during the open beta.

We want to thank Mac players for waiting so patiently – and a special thanks to the awesome summoners over at iLoL who helped you play on your native OS while the official client was in development. You rock, iLoLers, and we appreciate all the dedication you've shown to your fellow Mac-enthusiasts.

LoL - Hacks and Cheats

Ip hack, Rp hack, Gold hack, Skin hack, Zoom hack, Map hack
League of Legends is now a huge game and of course everyone is trying to hack it.Ip hack, Rp hack, Gold hack, Skin hack, Zoom hack, Map hack, Cheat Engine are some of the known hacks and cheats out there for LoL.

LoL - Custom skins

League of Legends Custom Skins can be created easily by searching the internet for a good software. The best I have found is this where you can create custom champions skins and see the work of other's  people custom skins. There is also guides videos and community blogs that can help you create a custom skin.Rune, masteries and champion builder is also available. In my opinion, this community is by far the best for custom skins and has a huge database of them.Rainbow Trynda is a nice example of a custom skin
LeagueCraft for custom skins.

LoL - Legendary Skins

Legendary Skin , lol legendary skins , Legendary Skins
Kog'Maw Legendary Skin
In League of Legends there are many types of skins with different cost. The most expensive skins are called Legendary Skins. Legendary Skins are high at cost but they change the champion in many ways like Lion Dance Kog'Maw will shoot fireworks for his skills , instead of the normal ones.Legendary Skins are also hard to be made and take longer to be released. Click the picture on the left side of your screen to see Kog'Maw's Legendary Skin.

LOL-Look the magic of Preseason Three Digi-Art

The preseason is underway, and with everything that’s on the line in Season Three, the champions of the League are stepping up their training regimens. With all the new items in the shop, they’ve got a whole new arsenal to try out.

Of course, an epic battle on the Field of Justice isn’t the only showdown going on this preseason. In the spirit of competition, we’re also challenging you awesome fan artists to create a picture of your favorite champion preparing for Season Three and enter it in the Preseason Three Digi-Art Throwdown. And to give you the proper incentive to start furiously scribbling with your stylus, we’ve picked up some pretty epic prizes from our friends over at Wacom.

 Contest Rules
  •  You must include at least one champion and one new Season Three item: we’re looking for the latest trends in champion conditioning, so you need to showcase the new stuff
  • Your masterpiece must be appropriate for summoners of all ages: we’re teen rated, so nothing too risqué; if you think Draven practices through mass-execution, go ahead and keep that to yourself
  • You entry can’t include any logos or product names or placements: these are what we like to call a “legal hassle,” and we don’t keep enough lawyers on retainer to obtain permission to plug your favorite soda on our website
  • Your entry must be made by you, submitted by you, and made for this contest: we don’t care if your friend Leo Da Vinci painted you the Sona Lisa, this contest is about YOU showing of YOUR artistic potential within the stipulated timeframe
  •  You need to submit your entry on time: sorry if you have a tendency to oversleep, but this contest is for LoL players with accurate watches
 Technical Requirements

  • Your submission needs to be 300 dpi (one dimensional), at least 3000 pixels in either height or width, and exported at a quality setting of 8 or higher: if we want to hang these on the wall, they should still be beautiful when we blow them up
  • You need to submit in .jpg format: you’re not going to win any prizes if we can’t open your entry, so for the sake of simplicity just stick to submitting .jpgs
  • Hang onto your full-size, highest-res, highest-detail picture: we may contact you to get ahold of your most epic rendering so that it can be properly preserved and displayed.

As always, these rules are in addition to all the contest commandments set down by Legal in our Official Rules and Contest FAQ, so be sure to review those before you submit. We mentioned awesome Wacom tablets, so here are the full details on the prizes you can win this contest:

Two grand prize winners will receive:
  • A Wacom Cintiq 22HD pen display
  • 15,000 RP

Five runner-up winners will receive:
  • A Wacom Cintiq 12WX pen display
  • 10,000 RP

Ten honorable mention winners will receive:

League of Legends Hidden and Unreleased Champions part 3

TIKI.
There was no info about this Champion.

WELL, THE HYDROSOUL.
The "Ritual of Rebirth" mentioned in Well's backstory is incredibly similar to Damphair, a character from George Martin's Song of Ice and Fire book series. Damphair worships an entity called the Drowned God and 'baptizes' others by holding them underwater and then resuscitating them afterwards.

URF, THE MANATEE.
Despite the traditionally peaceful ways of his people, Urf, the Manatee, idolized the strength and prowess of Champions in the League of Legends and strived to become one. Of all the League's Champions, there was none that Urf admired more than  Jax, the Armsmaster. Since the introduction of the arena, no man has forced the League of Legends to revise their regulations more often than Jax, and the self-proclaimed Grandmaster at Arms rattled off a streak of 152 consecutive wins.
Warwick wearing the remains of Urf :(

OMEN.
Omen is a four-legged demon-like creature. He is a cancelled champion that eventually made way for  Riven. The cancellation of Omen was the cause of the eventual V1.0.0.125 delay since Riot had to push up the  Riven release. It is said that Omen is not completely removed, but shelved for the moment until they can make him fully desirable by all Riot Staff members, as only 50% supported his release at the time.

League of Legends Hidden and Unreleased Champions part 2

EAGLE RIDER
There was no info about this guy.

GAVID, THE PLANT KING.
The Plant King (rumored to be named Gavid The Plant King) was cancelled due to not fitting well within League of Legends artistic theme.

On the map for the 2010 Harrowing, a coffin can be seen on the extreme lower right with him in it. This could be the subtle "nail-in-the-coffin" confirming his cancellation.
It is very likely that the Plant King maybe redesign to be  Maokai, who may have been considered more appropriate to League of Legends style.

IRON ENGINEER.
There was no info about this champ, but it looks
very similar to Blitzcrack.

PRISCILLA, THE SPIDER QUEEN.
Priscilla The Spider Queen is an unreleased champion that was left in the development stage by Riot Games, and her artwork and spell icons are present in the game files.
It was rumored that Spider Queen was reworked into Nidalee, since that was the name used for Spider Queen. Also, in early development Nidalee used poison in all of her attacks and her Prowl caused her to become camouflaged.

On August 19, a sneak preview of  Urgot was released. While the two share a similar appearance.

ROB BLACKBLADE.
Rob Blackblade was canceled due to not fitting within League of Legends artistic theme. No aspect of the champion was deemed worthy of keeping, so it was scrapped. Rob's place in the development cycle was filled by the champion that became Udyr.

VOODOO SHAMAN.
Tabu, the Voodoo Shaman, (otherwise known as The 48th Slave), was rumored to be a new champion, but is now considered cancelled. Tabu may be based off of the DotA champion, Voljin, The Witch Doctor, and may have been reworked into what is now Swain.

On the 2010 Harrowing map, a coffin, (on the extreme lower right), can be seen containing him, along with Averdian and the Plant King. This could be interpreted as the "nail-in-the-coffin" confirming his cancellation.

League of Legends Hidden and Unreleased Champions part 1

There are champions in the game which were never released, and were in the drawing board for various reasons, some of these champions are:

AVASHA
She may also be very early concept art of Riven, considering
the gigantic sword she has. The body armor also bears a resemblance to
Redeemed Riven skin.

AVERDRIAN
Averdrian was rumored to be a new champion of the League of Legends. It was thought that he was reworked into Heimerdinger.

On the 2010 Harrowing map, a coffin containing him (along with the Plant King and The Voodoo Shaman) can be seen. This could be interpreted as the "nail-in-the-coffin" confirming his cancellation.

LoL Replay

Since League of Legends does not have a built-in replay system at the moment, we use a third-party program called "LoL Replay" to do just that. Here's a simple guide on how to use LoL Replay.

Matches are replayed within the actual League of Legends client, allowing full quality replays, with negligible performance impact while playing the game and file sizes much smaller than video. The camera may also be freely controlled while playing a replay, alowing the viewer to spectate whichever area they are most interested in.

LOL-Tribunal

What Is Tribunal?

The Tribunal is a system introduced in May 2011 by Riot Games to help discipline players and keep the community in check with the help of their peers.

When a summoner logs into the Tribunal, they are assigned a case to review. This case includes another summoner who has been reported from other summoners on game. The summoner reviewing the case is given chat logs, game statistics, and report details to help them decide if the offending summoner should be punished or pardoned. A summoner can also skip a case if they are unsure or uncomfortable choosing a verdict.

A summoner can review up to 15 cases a day (this may vary from time to time). As a reward for their participation, summoners whose votes coincide with the majority votes on cases will receive weekly bonus Influence Points for their time and they will gradually get more cases per day. Rewards are given weekly, after the judgment period on the cases ends. On the contrary, if a player repeatedly votes against the majority, he will lose the access to the Tribunal. This system is used to encourage players to read thoroughly their assigned cases, instead of blindly punishing people. The average award for tribunal per case is currently at 5 influence points.

When a summoner's case receives a certain number of "punish" votes, (a number not divulged by Riot) they receive a punishment intending to deter this behavior from happening again. Possible punishments include a warning, suspension, name change, or in severe cases, permanent banning. Every action taken against the player is automated, with very few exceptions depending on the severity of the case. Under special circumstances, Riot Games can even veto the verdict of the Tribunal, but appeals are not possible as customer service responds to requests for information with premade messages.

LoL Meta

League of Legends ( LoL ) meta is an idiom created by Summoners, meta is how and which champions are placed in a lane or role based maps and other factors.
Pre-season 1/Beta LoL didn't have any particular meta, everyone played whatever champion the wanted in whatever lane the wanted.

Season 1 came up and ranked teams always tried to find the best way to win, that's where meta was created.Season 1 meta was all about tanks and bruisers, who they could hold up till late game and in the end with all the tankyness win it.Later metas in the period of season 1 consisted of one ap carry top,one ad carry mid,a jungler and 2 tanks/bruisers bot
(Example from official LoL livestream on season 1 : http://www.own3d.tv/riotgames/video/46533)

Season 2 come up with many changes, buffs, nerfs and new champions. The tank meta used in Season 1 got balanced and the League of Tanks died.Pro teams strived to find the new best meta that everyone would use. After the many changes Riot made, the new meta was eventually created. The new meta consisted of 1 off-tank top/ 1 ap carry mid / ad carry + 0 cs support bot / tanky/bruiser jungle. The pro's started using the new jungle and stopped playing it like mobs were hard to kill and took forever to respawn. With this meta you have a commplete team that combines everything together from the early damage of ap carries and ganks of junglers to the late game damage of the adcarry, tankyness of the jungler and off-tank and cc from the support.Bans were also added in ranked games and the most banned champions in the championship were:
  1. Alistar
  2. Shen
  3. Jayce
  4. Karthus
  5. Yorick
  6. Orianna
  7. Skarner
  8. Anivia
